Our final game of a very successful tour. After an afternoon of exploring the South Devon Coast, we arrived at Seaton to find excellent weather awaiting us.

Unfortunately, our captain couldn’t call right and we lost the toss and we sent in to the field.

Seaton‘s overseas player came out aggressively and runs flowed freely in the opening exchanges. However, he was no match for Ashford’s Sean Cully’s bamboozling bowling. Another wicket fell on the very next ball and Sean was on a hattrick. Unfortunately, though there was some jug avoidance. Seaton’s middle order recovered and posted a very healthy 173-7 from 30 overs.

Our reply started brightly with Elliott hitting some early boundaries. However, we quickly lost both openers. Trefor Evans scored a fantastic 50 in partnerships with Chris Lunn and Ibrar Shahid made the chase seem very possible. However, a flurry of wickets made things more difficult. Even the return of Trefor at the end was not quite enough. Ashford 147 AO.

A fantastic game played in fantastic spirit, excellent socialising with the opposition afterwards.
