It is with deep sadness that I write to tell you that John Hartwell sadly lost his battle with cancer on Friday the 24th June 2022.
John was a long standing and loyal Ashford member. He played for ACC for several years, captaining the Sunday second XI on the old ground from, 1992-93.
He served a mammoth stint as treasurer from 1993 to 2002 and was elected a life member in 2003.
Our thoughts are with his wife Audrey and sons, David and Michael, both of whom played for Ashford in the 1990s.
