With the cricket season now coming to an end there are few jobs which have to be undertaken to ensure that valuable cricket equipment is secure for the winter. We all need it to be ready next season, so some assistance to put it to bed now would be greatly appreciated.

The Sunday XI will undoubtedly do some of the tasks after their last game on September 28th.

The key tasks to be undertaken are:

• tidy 2nd Score box(es) and secure for the winter
• boundary ropes stored in small scorebox
• covers hoses stored in small scorebox
• tidy balcony and identify scrap items
• benches stored on balcony
• empty and tidy changing rooms 3, 4 & 7
• tidy store room and dispose of unwanted equipment
• move covers to winter storage area
• move mobile batting cage to winter storage area
• general tidy up and litter pick around the site
• sight screens moved to winter storage position
• board up the main scoreboard
• get football nets and corner flags out of the groundsman's shed
• etc. etc.

A work party will meet from 10:00am on Saturday 4th October.

The more members who are able to attend and help, the quicker that these jobs will be completed. You may not have been able to assist with the voluntary bar rota on Mondays and Tuesdays, but we hope you can spare a couple of hours on Saturday morning.

Refreshments will be provided for all volunteers who contribute on the day.
