ACC increasing its cashless offering

ACC increasing its cashless offering

Saad Choudhary27 Jan 2020 - 12:36

Contactless card readers to be available for match fees and indoor nets. Special offer for indoor nets advance payment!

ACC trialled the use of a contactless card reader, at Presidents Day and Annual Dinner, last year. Happily, the feedback received from members was positive.

We would like to follow the general societal trend, by starting the process of becoming a cashless club. Achieving our aim will reduce the security and administrative burden on the club, of handling cash. It also has an added benefit of ensuring the club gets money into their account earlier, naming no names but some members do sometimes make us chase them for their hard earned money!

Saad Choudhary (ACC Treasurer) will be responsible for the three new card readers, however he will have captains in his "staff" who will be able to take cash payments on behalf of the club. We expect that match fees for the vast majority of matches (not away friendlies) can be paid by card or smartphone. We will encourage people to use the readers rather than caah, wherever possible. This does mean that the, "I don't have any cash on me" excuse won't work anymore!

In honour of the new process, Saad will be at Adult Nets on Sun 16 Feb and will accept payments for the session by card or smartphone. If you are willing to pay in advance we will offer 8 sessions for the price of 6! This works out at £30 rather than £40, which is a 25% discount. It also means that you don't have to worry about paying every week. The same principle applies to U23 and juniors attending adult nets. This offer is only for people paying in full, using the card reader on Sun 16 Feb, we won't apply retrospectively.

Any questions please contact Saad.
