The Middlesex ACO will run an introductory umpires course on the 14th of April at the Middlesex Indoor Cricket School. The free, three hour course is a chance for club captains, parents and volunteers to brush up on their umpiring skills before the season starts.

It is the ideal way for captains or senior players in particular who play in leagues that often don’t have umpires to stay up to date on their knowledge of Ground, Weather and Light (GWL) as well as the directives for young bowlers.

With the first junior games just around the corner it is at the ideal time for parents or volunteers who would like officiate those games to remind themselves of these directives as well as the basic laws of the game.
