Mark Doggett is hosting an informal session for parents to learn how and become confident to score junior cricket matches.
Parents who attend and support games their child is playing in can really help the team manager by offering to take care of the scoring duties for the duration of the match.
The session will be held at the clubhouse in the function room from 7.30pm on Thursday 9th May. The session should last no longer than 90 mins.
Mark will talk participants through:
the design of the standard cricket scorecard;
the symbols and figures used to record the ball-by-ball progress of a match; and
the signals from umpires that scorers need to be familiar with.
If you are interested in attending the session, please contact Mark so that he knows how many people to expect. (T: 07816019247; e: firstname.lastname@example.org)
